AW15 Shopping Event at Precious

Today we popped in to see our friends at Precious our lovely independent stockist located down a little lane off of Spitalfields  Market in East London.

Precious is a little treasure trove of beautifully selected brands. The clothes, shoes and accessories are so carefully curated by owner Kate so when we heard that they were having an AW15 shopping event it was the prefect excuse to pop down & check out the new season gorgeousness.

We were treated to a quick masterclass from Becksondergaard, showing us the best ways to wear a scarf (and believe us, there are a lot more ways than you would think).

Here our Brand Assistant Sophie models one of the ways we were shown.

Our Top Places for Tea and Cake in London

Bake a Boo

West Hampstead

A firm favourite for our director Jemma, Bake a Boo has a delicious range of gluten free, wheat free and dairy free cakes on offer as well as an amazing vegan range - perfect for allergy and intolerance sufferers!

Voted 'Best Afternoon Tea in North London' by Time Out in 2014, Bake a Boo serves afternoon tea between Friday-Sunday and with prices starting at £18.50 per person you really cannot afford to miss out.  So text your best girl friends, and get a date in the diary - you need to book in advance though so be quick as they get booked up quick!  They also do a take away service, so that you can host your own afternoon tea from the comfort of your own home!

High Tea of Highgate

Highgate

Another North London fave, this time suggested by our Brand Assistant Emma, High Tea of Highgate has a scrummy range of savory food, cream teas and cakes.  The perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon, you can escape the hustle and bustle of Central London whilst sampling their impressive range of 20 different specially selected teas.  We're told that their Chocolate Orange cake is to die for!

Soho's Secret Tea Room

Soho

This (not so) secret tea room is located above the Coach and Horses pub on Greek Street, Soho.  Offering traditional cream tea, afternoon tea and champagne tea they also have 16 carefully selected leaf teas available to accompany their homemade in house cakes, scones, jams and fairy cakes.

Crumbs and Dollies

Soho

The newly opened, Crumbs and Dollies is situated in the lively Kingly Court, just off Carnaby Street.  A mixture of classic and special cupcakes, the list of cupcake flavours is never ending - from Red Velvet and Cinnamon Toast, to Maple and Bacon and Peanut Butter and Jelly there is something for everyone! They even have a stall every Saturday on Duke of York Square, Kings Road, so if you're in the area make sure you pop by and say hello and treat yourself to a cupcake...or two!

Stamford Larder

Hammersmith

If you're in the Hammersmith area (or even if not, we suggest that you take a trip there) Stamford Larder is the bakery to try.  They have three different menus to try from for different days of the week, each offering a selection of cupcakes that have been awarded the National Cupcake Championships top prize!

Beyond Bread

Soho

Visit their website here

We recently discovered this little gem tucked away in Charlotte Place in London's Fitzrovia.  Not only do they sell UH-mazing toasties and sandwiches (we can highly recommend their Caesar Teaser sandwich), they also bake equally UH-mazing cakes and they are all gluten free so there is no risk of cross contamination (coeliacs can rejoice)!!  They also have a cute range of slogan tote bags and tee's - #glutenfreeisthenewblack, we NEED one of the totes to add to our wardrobe!

What are your favourite places for tea and cake? Have we missed anywhere from our list - we would love to hear your suggestions! <3
